Well, the week following our chat at the bar I took off towards his house.  Turns out it wasn’t that far from where I lived.  And while it is a very nice house, it was not quite Wayne Manor either.  However, when I got inside and caught a glimpse of several HUGE multiple screen displays I was very impressed.  He broke everything down for me.  Turns out he trades both FOREX (currency exchange for the layman) and penny stocks.  He has a guy that he pays to monitor charts and help him watch for anomalies so that he knows when to make the trade.  I couldn’t help but think this was really cool.

So each station of multiple screens had its own purpose.  Some were for monitoring charts, other for graphs and the hot screen as he called it was where he kept the actual trading software open 24/7 so that if he needs to make a trade he could easily do so.  I was impressed.  I started asking some question about why the elaborate setup.  He said that up until he had all of these monitors setup up he used a single monitor setup.  But then he started noticing that he was missing trades while fumbling through the various charts.  With this setup he doesn’t have to worry about missing anything.  Pretty cool, I thought.  He also said that his productivity levels have got through the roof on both himself and his employees.  They are all able to accomplish more during the day because they are not wasting as much time as they were prior to using the multiple monitor setups.
